Booking Terms & Conditions

Booking policy

1. You are able to book in for the following under the following categories:

  1. Member: for those who have had their YMCA membership re-activated.
  2. Casual: for YMCA individuals who have chosen to not reactivate their YMCA membership.

2. On-line bookings are required prior to arrival. To avoid contact, we will not accept payments at the Centre.

3. Payment is required to confirm your booking for all casual members.

4. Refunds and cancellations are not available.

5. There is a maximum of one booking, per patron, per day. This is to allow many people in our community to access the Centre.

6. Bookings open 48 hours prior to the session commencing and close one-hour prior.

7. Should members arrive late; their session will not be extended. The same finish time will apply.

Restrictions

8. Showers and change room facilities are closed. Access to toilets is permitted.

9. No locker access is permitted; belongings are not to be left in change rooms. Please leave your valuable personal items at home.

10. No lost valuables will be held on site. Any lost property will be disposed of.

11. Patrons are to bring own water bottles. No other food or drink is permitted into YMCA fitness centres.

Social distancing, safety, health and hygiene

12. The patron is responsible for adhering to social distancing, health and hygiene guidelines:

  1. Always keep a 1.5-metre distance between yourself and others.
  2. Adhere to assigned entry and exit points.
  3. Stay home, do not attend your booked session and seek testing if you have cold or flu symptoms.
  4. Wash your hands often and cover coughs and sneezes.

13. The patron must adhere to the standard Conditions of Entry to YMCA Fitness Facilities.

14. Vulnerable and elderly people with chronic health conditions should speak to their doctor about what is appropriate for them.

Warning of potential harm and acceptance of risk

15. I understand and acknowledge that whilst all reasonable care and skill is taken by the YMCA to ensure safe equipment, facilities and services, there are inherent risks of injury or ill-health resulting from the use of the gym facilities, use of gym equipment and from participation in physical activity and exercise generally.

16. I understand that these risks may result in a range of various injuries, including, but not limited to, minor cuts and bruises, muscular strains, ligament and tendon sprains, bone fractures, neck and spinal damage, heart-attack, stroke, death or psychological illness.

17. I understand that these injuries or illnesses may impact my future ability to earn a living, engage in other business, social and recreational activities and generally enjoy life.

18. I understand that injuries may be incurred as a result of the actions or inaction of other persons utilising the gym facility.

19. I understand and appreciate the inherent risks and potential impact of the types of injuries or illness that may result from use of the gym facilities and I agree that I am willingly and voluntarily participating in the use of the gym facilities and equipment.

20. I accept all risks of injury and illness that I may suffer and agree to take full responsibility for any and all damages, liabilities, loses, or expenses that I incur as a result of using the gym facilities and equipment, unless in the presence of negligence by YMCA employees, volunteers or agents.

Indemnity and Waiver of Liability

21. In consideration of the known risks and potential for serious injury, to the extent permitted by law, I, and on behalf of my family and any legal or personal representatives or executors hereafter, hereby agree to forever hold harmless, release and indemnify the YMCA, it’s officers, employees, volunteers, agents and representatives from any and all claims, demands, losses and other liabilities and costs (including court costs, legal and investigation fees or other expenses incurred) however so caused, in relation to any physical or psychological injury or illness or contraction of disease (including any adverse change of any injury, medical condition or state of health, whether permanent or temporary) resulting from the use of the YMCA facilities, equipment or services.
