Testimonials

I embarked on a journey into education with a burning desire to change the world and make a difference in my student's lives. I spent over 15 years in mainstream schools, climbing the ladder and believing I would change the system from the inside out. However, during my time in executive leadership positions, my frustration grew as I felt stifled in my ability to impact students' lives. Rather than supporting, I was excluding. Instead of using my influence to better support teachers, I was becoming consumed by deadlines and data. I wasn’t changing the system, the system was changing me.
Then I stumbled upon Y Schools by chance.
Witnessing the transformative power of Y's approach, with flexible educational programs, enriching activities, and unwavering support for student wellbeing, rekindled my passion for teaching. Stepping into Y Schools, I felt the staff's genuine dedication and the family-like atmosphere. I dove in headfirst and never looked back.
Y School epitomises holistic education, where students aren't just numbers, and together, we are genuinely changing lives. I'm proud to be a part of this incredible journey and now get to be the educator I imagined I would be when I first set out to change the world.
