Welcome to Ipswich Thriving Seniors, a vibrant program dedicated to helping older adults aged 60 and over, along with First Nations peoples aged 50 and over, thrive in their communities.
Based in Springfield Lakes and reaching across Ipswich, we offer flexible programs, events, and services that celebrate seniors and build age-friendly communities. Our goal is to create age-friendly environments where seniors feel valued, celebrated and connected to their communities.

Hear about the most common questions seniors ask and the trusted support provided every day, while gaining valuable insight into the Elder Abuse Prevention Unit, which champions the rights of older people to live with dignity and free from abuse. This session is a chance to connect with resources, strengthen your knowledge, and feel supported in every stage of life.

Bus Trip to Suncorp Stadium
Don't miss this opportunity to step inside Brisbane's most iconic sporting venue like never before. This bus trip will take you on an exclusive guided tour of Suncorp Stadium where you will visit the dressing rooms, sidelines, media rooms, coaches box and more! Mini Ekka Showcase
Seniors are warmly invited to enjoy the charm and nostalgia of the Ekka at a relaxed, joy‑filled day at the Springfield Lakes Community Centre. Expect all your favourites — games, entertainment, delicious food and drink, showbags and plenty of old‑fashioned fun. Best of all, it’s free. This special celebration also features a vibrant Mini Ekka Showcase, highlighting the creativity of local seniors across a range of categories. From painting and sewing to photography, baking, woodcraft and more, there’s something for every talent — and prizes to be won. If you’d like to share your skills and submit an entry in the showcase, simply follow the link to find out more and register. Enjoy a relaxing spring escape as we head to Toowoomba’s world‑famous Carnival of Flowers.
