Our YMCA OSHC Head Office team Trish Boonstoppel (Partnerships Manager) Anne Thoroughgood (Business Development Manager) James Woodgate (Community of Practice Coordinator) and Erin Prickett (Administration Officer) attended the Annual Parents & Citizens Conference at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on the 17th and 18th May.
The State Conference is a fabulous opportunity for P&C members, parents, School Principals and volunteers from around Queensland to connect with hundreds of other like-minded volunteers to learn, network and meet all the valued sponsors.
The YMCA sponsored the Welcome Reception. The theme was around the world. Our Team hosted the night dressed as The Y flight Captains for the evening. The YMCA also organised Joe Brumm the creator of Bluey to present at the conference. Joe’s presentation had an incredible impact on the conference and their wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Over the 3 day event, we received amazing feedback from our current partnering schools and their P&C members regarding our services across the state and the positive impact we make on school communities and their families. We would like to thank everyone who makes what we do possible, and for creating a safe environment for every child throughout the school year.
